About the Artist
Tori Rodriguez (They/Them) is a Non-Binary, Latine performer based in New York City. A graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, their time in the city has curated their affinity for the bold, the brand new, and for the well-loved. Their joy in collaborating on new work is bolstered by their love of the past. This duality bleeds into every aspect of their work, igniting their passion for viewing a largely white-washed history through a queer, brown lens.
Whether performing, devising, or developing stories I approach my craft with a deep sense of responsibility and joy: to honor those who came before, to amplify voices too often erased, and to carve space for complexity, contradiction, care, and fire.
